Where to Park for the Fair

Here’s the honest truth about the fairgrounds themselves: the Sabine Parish Fairgrounds in Many is set up for the fair, not as a full-hookup RV park. If you’re hoping to park right on the grounds, you need to call the fair organizers directly to ask what overnight or RV space they allow that year — it changes, and I don’t want to promise hookups that aren’t there.

What I do most often for fair guests is set the RV up at a Toledo Bend park or a private lot and let you make the short drive into Many. A few that I deliver to regularly:

• Cypress Bend Resort & Marina, Many LA — closest full-service option to town, right on the water. Nice if you want lake views with your fair trip.
• North Toledo Bend State Park, Zwolle LA — solid state park sites a manageable drive up LA-191 from Many, good for families.
• Pleasure Point Landing & RV Park, Many LA — straightforward and close to town.
• Toro Hills Resort, Florien LA — handy if your crew is coming from the south end of the parish or wants to play a round at the golf course.
• Private property — plenty of folks have me set a trailer up on family land outside Many. As long as the access is decent and there’s room to level, I can usually make it work.

How Delivery Works

This is the part people like most. You don’t tow anything and you don’t back into a tight loop after a long drive. I bring the RV to your site — campground, resort, or private property — get it leveled, hook up the water, power, and sewer where available, and make sure everything’s running before I hand it over. When the fair’s over, I come pick it up. You just lock the door and head home.

One thing I always tell fair guests: while you’re already here with the RV set up, don’t just do the fair and leave. October is one of the prettiest months in this part of Louisiana. Toledo Bend is loaded for fishing, the Longleaf Trail Scenic Byway through Kisatchie National Forest is a gorgeous drive when the weather cools off, and Natchitoches is an easy day trip if you want history and a good meal. A lot of families turn the Free Fair into a long weekend instead of a Saturday run, and the RV makes that easy.
